In the spirit of food posts, this is the inside of an old smoker that we we found at a yard sale.  We got it fired up in New Hampshire and had a major smoking festival - ribs, fish, potatoes, turkey, chicken, onions.  We ended up doing it two weekends in a row and I think the novelty wore off after round two, but a fun way to bring in the fall season.
I am being forced to go back in time a bit, but these are photos from the second annual picklin' extravaganza that my friend Neema and I have become committed to/obsessed by.  The dill spears are awesome but the spicy beans might take the prize this year.

Here goes it!

After much ruminating and encouragement by select friends, I am entering the wacky world of blogging. Not exactly sure what type of outlet this is going to serve for me... opportunities to rage against the machine, showcase crafty new home projects, share Craig's amazing food masterpieces with fellow foodies, keep friends and family abreast of life at 30 Robeson Street.   Stay tuned for snapshots from the life of Sarah.
